"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than the facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our pasts, we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you - we are in charge of our attitudes."

The photo has nothing to do with the quote. I just wanted to add a photo so the blog wouldn't seem so plain. :)
Oh let the truth be told on that one! I need to put that one someplace to be reminded daily of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Summer, love the photo of the fam, ya'll look very uplifted in your attitudes ;)
Fabulous! Exactly what I needed, thank you.
ReplyDeleteWow. Summer, that spoke to me in a huge way. Mama needs an attitude adjustment, that is for sure. Thanks, my friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks different. Did you switch the template. Or has it always looked this cute and I usually just read so fast that I don't notice the other stuff. I liked your quote and your family photo just as much. And I totally agree. I used to let my attitude be the boss of me. But now I'm in charge of it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote! I love it and seriously COULD NOT agree MORE with his impactful words. THANKS for sharing and spreading this important message.
ReplyDelete(PS- you comment wasn't annoying on my blog- I appreciate all your tidbits! )
I love that quote...I had it above my sink forever!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite and the most humbling part is the 10% what happens and the 90% attitude! I am constantly wishing I hadn't 'reacted' the way I did!! Hot headed is in my blood! I 'should' post this somewhere in my house as a daily reminder!! =)
ReplyDeleteJust Jenn~
I 'reacted' at the school secretary today for giving my daughter her inhaler yesterday WITHOUT the spacer!! ugh!! =) sigh.. it could have been worse... but it wasn't exactly forgiving either! Thank you for the reminder~!
