100th Post. Oh how I love these kids!

Today is my 100th post.

I intended to post about a couple workout DVD's that i've taken a liking to. I thought it would be fitting since I started this blog as the 100 DVD challenge. But the DVD's will have to wait. I've got something more important to share.

I took the girls on an impromptu trip to the duck lake around the corner from our house.

Sea turtles, ducks, a hedge area to play house. Does it get any better than that on a weekday afternoon?

These girls melt my heart.

I love it when they play togehter nicely.

AHA MOMENT...

It seems lately they have been doing a better job at getting along. It might be cooincidence, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with me trying to stay calm around the house. I've realized that when I am stressed out and irritated - they are too. When i play calm, they play calm too! Is that the secret to motherhood?

God, I love this 6 yr old. She's lost 3 teeth and her 4th one is hanging on by a string. She looks like a little hill-billy!

This lake is about a 4 minute walk from my house! In case you are all jealous, or wondering why I don't take them here every single day, I'll clue you in. If you look closely, you will see it's a bit scummy. Sea turtles with sludge on their backs.... duck poop EVERYWHERE!

But just like everything else in life, it's all how what you choose to see, isn't it? Today I choose to see the beauty of the lake.

"if you change the way you see the world, the world you see will change"
I'm not sure who said that! Either Ghandi or Wayne Dyer!!!

P.S. Although I haven't been posting much lately, and haven't been leaving comments on blogs, I am still reading your blogs! I'm bogged down by school at the moment, so I sneak a quick read when I can but get off quick to study. Two more weeks and then I'm a free woman for two months! :)

  1. What sweet girls. I love the toothless phase. Definitely my favorite! That picture of them in the bushes is so sweet. Let's definitely get together when the schedule opens this summer. Can't wait!

  7. Happy 100th post!

I totally notice that about my girls also. Things have been so stressful moving, etc and the girls have been arguing, bickering & clingy....I can tell they are reacting to our stress! yikes!

Cracked me up that you attributed the quote to either Ghandi or Dyer!
